Your special day is quickly approaching and as the days get closer, you overwhelmingly keep refreshing that weather report on your phone getting more concerned that raindrops may be in your future! Ahhh!!! Well, don’t fret! This is one of my most asked questions from all of my brides, “How do I prepare for rain?”
Although rain can make the day a little messy, the overcast skies make the clouds look very cool, which crafts a remarkable background for your photographs! If your wedding is during the possible rainy seasons think of some back up plans for either having your wedding inside or with an overhang such as the photo below. You would never think that it was a rainy day but with this beautiful overhang it covered us and made for a beautiful photo. If you think ahead and plan for the rain then your wedding will be perfect!
Let the photographer worry about the pictures. If there’s any chance of rain, your photographer is already brainstorming and will notify you of items to make sure for you to bring.
Take it one moment at a time when it comes to preparing for rain. Don’t overwhelm yourself by looking at how rain is going to ruin your entire wedding, but if you approach every aspect of your wedding as small goals to fix the rain issue, it will all turn out to be the breathtaking day that you dreamt it would be!
Here is a short list of a few items to pack for in the event of rain:
- Lots of Umbrellas! Preferably the clear pretty ones.
- Large Towels: Towels can be used to wipe down any areas that were affected by the raindrops!
- A change of shoes: Pull those Chuck Taylor’s out for easy walking in the rain or some good old fashion boots.
- An over hang cover so no rain will effect you!
- An awesome team that will assist you in keeping you and your dress dry!
