Timing is everything and for Marissa and Billy, these words can’t be more true! Their relationship has withstood many tests of time and this story is truly a topper for the cake!
Marissa and Billy met in high school and fell in love quickly as they became high school sweethearts and have now been together for seventeen years! Marissa always knew that she wanted to marry Billy but her goal was to finish school first. It finally came to the day that they would be saying “I Do” to each other, but first life threw them a curveball!
As their wedding day was just days away, the news of an international pandemic was also quickly approaching. The day of their wedding happened to also be the day that a quarantine was set in place limiting social gatherings to 250 people or less, but thankfully they made it happen with less than 250 guests! Marissa and Billy didn’t let this challenge ruin their big day though because they had waited nearly two decades for this moment!
The day started with a special First Look before the wedding, where Marissa and Billy shared smiles and tears. The moment came for Marissa to walk down the aisle to meet her groom and as she did, the look on Billy’s face was as if it was the first time he had ever seen his beautiful bride. This was one of the sweetest ceremonies I have ever witnessed as the couple exchanged personal vows, choked up with tears with every moment that passed. Billy couldn’t hold it in any longer because the emotions he felt inside were too strong to contain. The officiant finished Billy’s vows for him which was so sweet and I even teared up myself behind the camera!
I am so happy for this sweet couple and so thankful that Marissa and Billy found their storybook love!
