I can’t believe it has been five years already since I photographed this beautiful couple’s wedding and here we are photographing their anniversary! Time surely does fly!! I still remember how they first met but the story I love most is how Iezana proposed. He had envisioned in his mind that he wanted to propose to Vanessa in a very special way because of how happy she made him! He asked her to get dressed up and they both went out for the day. After eating an amazing breakfast, he took her to a beautiful beach where he laid out a blanket with sparkling cider, creating a very romantic setting for this momentous occasion. Vanessa had no idea what was about to happen, even when Iezana told her that they were going to be going to a ring store later down the road to pick out rings.

As they sat together on the sand of this breathtaking beach, Iezana knew this was the moment for his big proposal. He had Vanessa lay her head on his lap, as he  started to sing a proposal song to the love of his life. As he sang the words, she popped up her head trying to figure out what was going on but Iezana wasn’t ready with the ring just yet so he motioned her to put her head back on his lap! Iezana kept reaching for the ring as Vanessa popped up her head again. And once more, he wasn’t ready so he motioned for her to put her head back down. So with all the motions, Vanessa finally said to him, “What are you doing?” and he proposed in that moment and she honestly thought he was joking. She was shocked when he actually pulled out the ring and showed her, then she realized he really was serious!! And then she said yes!
