I loved learning the sweet story of how Hana and Mike fell in love. They both attended the same college and everyday Hana would walk down the hall to her class and saw a man lying on the floor asleep. She figured he was trying to get as much sleep as possible before his class started, and every day she would pass by him. As some time passed, her friends introduced her to one of their friends, and she realized “that’s the guy that sleeps on the floor in front of his class!” and she didn’t really think much of it, at the time. Their friendship grew and Mike started to show interest in Hana by asking her out on a date, but Hana had reservations because of her strong belief in God. She always knew that she wanted to date someone that had like precious faith, but she didn’t want sway him because of his interest in her. No matter how many times Hana denied Mike, he would not give up and would keep asking her. Later on Mike, fell in love with the Lord. After so much persistence in asking her to date him, she finally gave in because she did not want to loose him. She found out what she had with Mike was amazing and did not want to let that go. The same place that they met for the first time was actually the same place that they had their first look and saw her as his beautiful bride for the first time. She gave him a letter to read right before she saw him and it made the moment all the more special.
It was a beautiful ceremony held at the classy and elegant Grand Island Mansion in Walnut Grove, California. The mansion is an landmark located in the Sacramento River’s historic delta district is the largest private estate in California, built in 1850. It is described on their website as “a treasure trove of handiwork of the finest craftsmen from Europe.” As the ceremony began, the bridal party walked in looking stunning as ever. The moment came for the Hana to be escorted down the aisle with her father, where they both were crying with each step made. It was a beautiful ceremony where Hana and Mike committed their love to one another amongst family and friends. The wedding party and guests moved over to the reception, also located at the mansion where their entrance for their first dance was elegant as ever. As Hana walked down one staircase with her bridesmaid signing a verse to the Beauty and the Beast song, the song continued with Mike walking down the other staircase as one of his groomsmen sang another verse of the song. The song continued as both Hana and Mike met at the bottom, where they finished the song off with a ballroom dance just like in the movie! It was sooo beautiful! I always see these things in movies but I actually got to witness it in front of my eyes. What a beautiful moment to behold! I am so happy for this amazing couple and I wish them the best that life has to offer.
