It’s so exciting to hear the story of how a man proposes to his girlfriend, but it’s even better to watch it happen! Samantha and Gary started dating six years ago, and he knew that her love for museums had to be the place where he would ask her to become his wife. It was a normal day for her and she had absolutely no idea what was coming. As they walked through the Oakland Museum of Art on a Friday, Samantha was going on and on about her love for museums, while Gary’s mind can only think of one thing, “How and when am I going to ask her to marry me?”

As the day continued on, he waited for evening to dawn so that the museum would become less crowded with people and would create an intimate setting. He guided her to an area of the museum that overlooked Lake Merritt and in it’s perfect timing, their friends approached with a camera to record. Gary proceeded to get down on his knee and asked Samantha if she would be his wife. Of course, she said yes!! She was very surprised and they are so happy to be getting married in the next few months at the beautiful Chabot Space Museum. Congratulations Samantha and Gary!
