Today is one of those days in history that American’s will never forget. On this day, we remember the lives that were lost at the World Trade Center in New York City, NY and at the Pentagon in Washington, D.C. We also remember those first responders that saved many lives on September 11, 2001. I’m excited to share this love story of Elizabeth and Randy, a couple who have sacrificed their natural lives everyday to prove that no matter what, every life matters. When Elizabeth and Randy first fell in love some 15 years ago, Randy was about five years into his career as a firefighter and Elizabeth was a mother of one and now the mother of two. Elizabeth explains that as a new wife, when it was time for Randy to go off for his first tour to fight fires, she was sad to see him leave for so long but she learned just what this sacrifice of love entailed. As time progressed Elizabeth made the decision to attend nursing school and Randy was in full support. Elizabeth soon learned for herself that feeling of sacrifice as she now sacrifices her life everyday to help save lives as a nurse.
This post is dedicated to all firefighters, nurses, EMT’s, doctors, police officers and anyone else who places their life in harm’s way to protect the welfare of humanity. We appreciate all that you do!
