The Bridal Bouquet is one of the most important pieces of the wedding. Yes! They are beautiful, and add an element of elegance and tradition, they also smell nice! It might be hard to believe, but this tradition was born in 17th century England. An annual bath would take place most commonly between May and July, (coincidentally when most weddings took place). Brides would then mask additional smells by carrying or wearing flowers, and so the bouquet was born.
In the same era, knights would go to battle with a token from their lady symbolizing their support. The token( typically a flower or scarf) would usually be the same color their lady wore often. Fast forward to modern-day times, the boutonnier generally matches the bridal party symbolizing the union of both sides
